A Place to Live The Life
The BE Tulum has been created with all the charm and the quiet of nature captured in 20 exclusive suites between the tropical forest, white sand and the sea. Made with native materials that blend into the environment, with spacious terraces and private pools giving you the freedom and privacy you need. Comfortable and sophisticated interiors, designer furniture, a space that where every glance falls on beauty, luminosity and natural detail.
Nestled between the white sand, outlining the pristine beaches of the Caribbean Sea and the lush tropical jungle, lies a charming town in complete harmony with nature. Here lie the ruins of one of the most beautiful cities of the Mayan culture: Tulum, uniquely built by the sea-cliffs, is located on the Yucatan Peninsula in the State of Quintana Roo, southeastern Mexico, on the northern border of the Biosphere Reserve of Sian Ka'an.
Located 145 km south of the cosmopolitan city of Cancún. Tulum is divided into three different areas, the Hotel Zone, the Town and the Archaeological Zone. In the first area, there are some of the most entrancing beaches on the Caribbean coast, many of which are still considered virgin. The area is distinguished by its simple architecture, which demonstrates a profound respect for the environment: its rustic cabins and small hotels were built in total harmony with the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The Town of Tulum is located alongside the state highway, where businesses and social life take place. You will find stores, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, typical Mexican handcrafts, phone booths, shops, post office, craft markets, bakeries, and tourist information, among others. All round this main avenue, you can hear the language of the native people, with their customs and typical costumes. The town of Tulum and the Hotel Zone are 3 km apart. To get around you can rent a bike, take a taxi or choose public transportation (vans or buses). Bikes are a very popular and inexpensive way to get around the Hotel Zone.
The Archaeological Zone of Tulum is located on top of a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Words cannot describe the beauty and magic of this place. Tulum means Wall in the Mayan language, but the original name was Zamá, which means Dawn, given its strategic geographical position that allows for watching the sunrise. Yoga Shala, the hotel’s haven for hatha and vinyasa, is in a pavilion that’s perched above the trees.
